What is a PNR ?
The abbreviated form of Passenger Name Record , PNR is used in Computer Reservation Systems containing a passenger's reservation information.It contains a 10 digit number that is located at the top left hand corner of your Ticket as shown below.Use this number for checking your PNR Status in the above webpage.
What does a PNR contain?
It mostly contains the below information such as
- PNR record locator
- Date of the reservation
- Name of the passenger(s)
- The travel itinerary for this specific PNR: Train number, date, departure and arrival
- stations, times of departure and arrival.
- Ticketing information
- The fare details, including any restrictions that may apply to the ticket,
- The form of payment used .
- Any further contact details, such as phone contact numbers at their home address
- or business address
- Any specific service information (SSR) relevant to the travel (e.g. unaccompanied
- minors, or elderly passengers requiring assistance, special meals, seating request
- or health information needed for assistance).
